Coventry fell to a disppointing 3-1 defeat at Tranmere last weekend while Shrewsbury beat ten man Notts County 3-2 to ease their relegation worries a little.
Over the years the two sides have played each other 27 times with Coventry winning nine games, Shrewbury winning 10 and eight draws. Shrewsbury have had the better of the last three recent games, winning two, 0-1 in 2013, winning 4-1 in 2012 and drawing 1-1 in 2013.
Former Coventry City Acamedy graduate Jermain Grandison is expected to play for the Shrews against his former side.
