Martin Cranie appears to be open-minded as to whether he will be at Coventry City next season.
The defender is out of contract on June 30th and City boss Andy Thorn has instructed the club to speak to him regarding a new deal.
Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, Cranie said: “I’ll be sitting down with the club in the next week or so and see where we go from there.
“None of the lads want to play in League One but it’s something we have to do and if we can do what Southampton did by keeping hold of a lot of their players we can hopefully achieve what they have.
“If the manager can keep the nucleus of the team then I am sure we’ll have a good chance of coming back together.”
