Currie, who will go into Jim Magilton's squad for the FA Cup tie against Chester City told the Evening Star: “I want to play regular football and I did that at Coventry.
“It seemed to go well for me, enough for them to want to sign me, and hopefully something might still happen.
“I'm back with the boys today and will be working as hard as always to get a place in the team - starting with Saturday.
“I have not come back just to sit on my backside and pick up wages. I want to play and do my best for the club.”
