Coventry City midfielder Gary Deegan has said that he was delighted with the three points which moved City closer to second from bottom Doncaster Rovers.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Deegan, who scored the only goal of the game against Bristol City this afternoon, said: "The feeling is mainly relief for getting that win and especially at home in front of the fans today. The fans have stuck with us through this bad period and it is great that they did that.
"It is really nice to get the winning feeling back and if you go into the dressing room, you will see it is just such a lift and everyone is buzzing about the win.
"I am absolutely delighted we got the three points.
"It was a great effort from everybody but when we saw a couple of chances not go in, I thought it was going to be another one of those days.
"The chance which fell to me was great and I was buzzing just to slot it in. But (Joe) Murphy kept us in it at the end of the game so it shows strength in all areas.
"It would be great if our luck finally changed now. It has been frustrating to be out of the side but you have to be patient for your chance in football.
"I have been so hopefully, I can continue to do so "
