Coventry City will unveil their latest signing tomorrow. He is Stephen O'Halloran, who is joining The Sky Blues from Aston Villa.
The 22 year old Irishman O'Halloran has agreed a one year deal after undergoing intensive medical tests last Monday. The Cork born left back missed out on first team football at Villa because of a cruciate knee ligament injury.
O'Halloran spent time on loan at Swansea, Wycombe and Leeds since joining Villa in 2006. He has two Irish under 21 caps and two full Irish international caps.
The one year deal shows that City boss Aidy Boothroyd has faith in the defender's ability, but he want his fitness proved prior to offering an extended deal.
Boothroyd commented to the CT: "Stephen is a young attacking full back. He is quick and strong and a good defender with a lot of potential. He got very close to the first team before he got injured but he has fully recovered from that."
" We had only got one recognised left-back so he will come in and fight for his place."
