Jojar Dhinsa would like former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier to be involved in the consortium to take over the Sky Blues. The pair are to meet in London next week where Dhinsa will outline his plans for the Sky Blues.
The Coventry kid said "He is the sort of man who can take Coventry to where I want and cope with the sort of budget I'm thinking about. He said he was interested in a meeting.
Adding: "To get to the top you need to compete with the likes of Chelsea and that means spending something like £100m on players. "I may not have that much money myself but I am talking to some other businessmen and we are very serious about this."
Mr Dhinsa also hinted that he would like former City manager Eric Black to work with Houllier.
