The Coventry City Diamond Club have announced a new Chairman.
Tom Dentith held the post for twelve years, leading the City Supporters Club for those with fifty years or move service.
However, at the tender age of eighty, Tom has announced his decision to step down and let a younger man move the Diamond Club on.
Alan Ludford, a City supporter who saw his first game in 1957 has been appointed as the new Chairman. Alan, has been on the Diamond Club Committee for the last five years and said, when the news was announced at the Diamond Club Lunch at the Ricoh Arena,: "This is a massive, massive honour. "When I started out watching the likes of Ronnie Farmer and co, i did not think nearly sixty years later, that I would be taking over an organisation that they were members of.
Fellow Committee Member Alan Bateman has been unveiled as the new Vice-Chair.
To mark his service, Tom was presented with an award, whilst his wife Eileen received some flowers.
