Coventry City defender Chris Hussey feels that the Diamond formation used by Andy Thorn suits him.
Speaking to the CT’s Andy Turner, Hussey said: “The diamond suits me down to the ground,” he said. “Everyone knows I like to get forward and get crosses in and I like to think I showed that on Saturday.
“I just wish I was a bit sharper, fitness-wise, because I have not played for a while and I was cramping up late on in the game.
"But I cut inside and shot on my right foot and I got a shot in with my left as well and Sheffs managed to get on the end of it.
“It can leave you a bit exposed at times but that’s why we’ve got Sammy sitting in there ready to get across.
"But I thought it worked really well in the second half at Cardiff and I thought the gaffer made the right decision by playing it again against Portsmouth because we look a real threat when we play it.
“I only got ten minutes at Cardiff but the boys looked like they had goals in them and looked dangerous going forward.
"And hopefully we can start getting more goals.
“We have got some momentum going and we have to keep the pressure on other teams when we go to Hull this weekend.”
