Bell has a calf injury on top of an existing ankle injury and Chris Coleman and Steve Kean have decided that the time is now right for the former Norwich man to have the operation to sort out his troublesome ankle.
Apart from his wonder goal against Doncaster Rovers, opinion is very much divided on David Bell amongst City supporters but it is hoped that with his ankle sorted and a good pre-season inside him, next term, we will all see what Chris Coleman saw in him to chase him for so long.
