Coventry City's Gary McSheffrey said that he was disappointed that City did not beat Doncaster Rovers last night.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, McSheffrey said: It was disappointing not to see the game out because if we'd have won that game we'd have gone above Doncaster. We felt if we'd got a second we would have killed the game off but it was still a step in the right direction.
"The manager said that he wanted a response after the defeat to Bristol City and the lads all said their bit together because we know we have to pull ourselves together and produce better performances than the one we produced at the weekend.
"We've got Hull at home on Saturday so hopefully we can take some of what we did today into that game and get a home win. Cov fans know their stuff and if we can produce a good performance we know they will get right behind us.
McSheffrey drilled in the ball for Freddy Eastwood's goal at the Keepmoat Stadium and he said: "We spoke to each other before the game about not giving the manager an excuse to drop us again so for Freddy to get his goal and me to get an assist was nice.
"We're just disappointed we didn't get the three points but when we play our stuff and do what we do well we know we can beat anyone in this league so now it's about looking to Saturday."
