Speaking to Sky Blue Player, the Bedford born striker, who won the Jackson Grundy Cup for City in pre-season with the winning goal at Northampton said: "It was disappointing not to get the result but it was great to get the experience, especially with a few more lads from the academy in the side as well.
"We've not gone through but I thought we definitely gave Hartlepool a good game and they will know tomorrow that they played 120 minutes."
The striker who hit eighteen goals for City U18's last season said about his debut: "I've waited for this moment for such a long time and obviously it says just as much for the club's academy as it does for me. "I just hope I can get more first team apperances over the season and maybe bag a few goals."
