Twice Former Young Player Of The Year, Osbourne has settled in at right back in the last few games and earned praise from City boss Chris Coleman.
"I was OK against Preston and then quite well against Sheffield United.
"I did all right in the first half against QPR but in the second half I thought I was a bit poor, but we kept a clean sheet and you have got to be happy with that," said Osbourne speaking to the CT.
"If the manager wants to go and get a right back that suits me fine, because it will free me up to fight for a place in centre midfield. "Obviously I am happy being in the team and playing right back is better than being on the bench.
"I reckon I will be a better player as last year I wasn't 100 per cent. "I had groin problems from virtually the start of the season and it meant I wasn't able to get up and down the line as freely as I like.
"Trying to get forward was very hard and then when a player was taking me on I wasn't too quick on the turn, so the injury didn't help me.
"I am trying to get up and down more this year. Because we're not playing with natural wingers, the ones who are playing out wide tend to tuck in and that gives the fullbacks a lot of space to get the ball forward which is very enjoyable.
"Obviously you have to dig in and defend first but if it always nice to get forward and join in the attacks and you never know, you might get a chance at goal."
