Don't Blame...

There is only one group to blame and it is SISU - let battle commence once again !

How can we blame such a tiny squad of :-

A few diamonds,

A few shysters,

A lot of kids (many of them are so promising that SISU’s Agents will sell them as soon as a decent offer comes in and that may happen before they depart !)

A long injury list of injured senior professionals

Sum total = a totally inadequate number of players to play a 46 Game season + 2 cup ties (of course)

Bristol City were able to field half a team ‘fresh legs’ – they have an owner who is prepared to fund a larger squad and when they reach the transfer deadline are able to bring in 3 good quality loans.

The people who were slagging off Thorney today should be ashamed of themselves – he is a decent person, who has done an excellent job getting us this far. Now sadly we have to face the Burnley precipice on Saturday.

If that is the day of reckoning and we are (more or less) relegated so be it. A Bristol victory at home to WHU and a City defeat at Burnley will more or less finish us – or has this terrible season got one last twist in it

So I implore every organ to take your bugles out of the cupboard and prepare for the battle ahead

As our great hero of the past JH once said ‘ A ‘Hedge Fund’ can defeat a team, but they cannot defeat a whole city’ I am sure Derek Henderson would have confirmed that had he still been with us  - so we will have to rely on Marshall Stewart – the last great author of the early ‘Sky Blue’ era’
