Coventry City boss Iain Dowie was a happy man after the Sky Blues FA Cup victory at Blackburn Rovers.
Dowie, who has been given the backing of Ray Ranson, to build a team capable of challenging for promotion next season, told the club website:
"I thought we were excellent from one to eleven. Defensively we were nice and solid, Michael Hughes did his job brilliantly in front of them and upfront Dele Adebola, Michael Mifsud and Leon Best were always a handful."
"At times this season we have felt we haven't got what we have deserved in the league, but today we did and if we can take that sort of performance into our league form we can really kick on.
"I've got to give a special mention for the fans today because we had a fantastic away following today who were superb from when the lads ran out to warm up right up until the end."
