Dowie Happy With Fitness Levels

Iain Dowie has said he was happy with the fitness levels of his players after they returned from the summer break.

Speaking to the CT,the City boss said: "The lads have come back in excellent shape. "Everyone stuck to their schedules and I am delighted with them. No one really is a major concern. "I can't wait to get going. We go to Bath this week for three days for some testing.

"It will be a training camp that will be as interesting and as tiring as they have ever had in their lives, but it will be fun and a real experience for them because it is probably the best facility in the country for that type of testing. "The lads have been a bit surprised. "They were swimming at 7 o'clock on Saturday morning and little things like that."
