Iain Dowie is not overly concerned that the loan transfer window closes on March 29th.
Said the City boss whose side have gone six games unbeaten since he took charge: "I wanted to give everyone a clean slate when I came in because you can't say that and then bring in five players.
"But in my view we are still a little bit short of what we want. I would still have liked to have brought one or two in but it has been very difficult to get them over the line.
Dowie Not Overly Concerned About Loans
"Clubs are very reticent to let players out and it does amaze me that the Premier League doesn't use the loan system as much as they should.
"If you look what's happening for Birmingham and even Charlton, who have taken Alexandre Song who was a target for me for a long while at the start of the season, these loans can make a difference to the player as well as the clubs.
"Anthony Stokes went to Falkirk from Arsenal and is suddenly sold to Sunderland for £2 million but he wasn't even getting a sniff of being near the team at Arsenal and then, all of a sudden he goes to Falkirk and gets 14 goals in 16 games. So financially it can be good for them. "We are still trying to do one or two, but it doesn't overly concern me."
