Iain Dowie has made a statement after the ruling in his legal issue with Crystal Palace's Simon Jordan went against him.
The now City boss was disappointed with the decision saying: "Obviously this is a hugely disappointing result for myself and my family. The whole experience has been a very testing time but it is not something I will allow to destroy my determination to succeed at Coventry City Football Club, who I am fully committed to.
Dowie On Court Ruling
"I am pleased that the judge has rightly found in my favour in relation to Crystal Palace's primary case for rescission of the Compromise Agreement "This means Crystal Palace have not succeeded in their claim for payment of the £1 million compensation clause. I am naturally disappointed that the judge has ruled against me on the other issue raised in this first phase of the case."
"I am looking forward to returning to what I do best, which is managing a football team. I will not allow this episode to dent my enthusiasm for the game and if anything, it will only serve to strengthen my resolve to be successful. "I will continue to focus all of my energies on my family and my job at Coventry City.
"I've got good health, a good job, a great bunch of lads at the club who are honest and keen to improve, great staff at the club, good prospects with new investment coming into Coventry City in the next few weeks and months, a fantastic supporter base in Coventry and lastly but most importantly, a fantastic wife and family who have been hugely supportive. "I have no further comment to make at this time."
