Speaking after Coventry City's 2-0 home defeat by Crystal Palace, Iain Dowie said to the club website:
"It was a fairly dour game in the first-half with not a lot in it. In the second-half I thought we played very well but the two goals we conceded were a joke. "Other than that Andy Marshall was redundant, but we can't keep chasing games and at the moment we are doing that all the time.
Dowie On Defeat To Former Club
"I won't criticise any of the boys because I thought they looked bright and clever. "I'd like to see the stats second-half because we kept the ball for a long time and had good opportunities, especially when Michael (Mifsud) passed when he was four yards away from goal.
"If we had got back in the game with the score at 1-1 it would have been a different game but the goals we have conceded are very poor, as they also were against Blackpool. "It was only two results ago when we went to West Brom and won 4-2, but the lads have got to learn how to grind clean-sheets out."
