Iain Dowie said after the game; "We created enough chances to win the game.
"We dominated the ball in both halves, but we had one defensive slip which has cost us then we have not been clinical enough to go and finish the game off.
"It feels like a defeat, but that's not a lack of respect to Scunthorpe because they have had a good start to the season, are a very committed bunch of lads and they have dug in for a point which it's fair to say they probably didn't deserve.
"We had three or four opportunities in the first-half and we had a number of great opportunities to score in the second-half but just didn't take them when we really should be at least hitting the target."
"There was definite contact inside the box and it was disappointing. The referee is 15 yards away and the linesman is 60 yards away - you tell me who has the better view?
"It was a bizarre one, we had the incident the other week where it took the referee four minutes to send off Michael Mifsud after consulting the fourth official and now we have this one.
"But that's certainly not an excuse as we didn't do enough to win the game."
