Dowie On Fletcher Resignation

Iain Dowie has been speaking about Paul Fletcher's resignation.

The City boss told the CT: "We all make mistakes in life and Paul, I think at the time, genuinely felt there would be money available. I know certainly did when I came to the club. It is very sad.

"I have had a good working relationship with Paul and he and Geoffrey Robinson were fundamental in bringing me to the club.

"I spoke to him on Friday and he was obviously very frustrated with the situation and I wish him well because he is a nice man."
