After City's 1-1 draw with Southampton at the Arena,Iain Dowie said to the club website: "I thought we played very well first half and perhaps should have been further ahead. "It was very much they attack, we attack throughout the game but I thought we were perhaps the more potent force.
Dowie On Southampton Draw
"It was very open and they are a great footballing side, amongst the best in the league. They pop the ball about great and play very narrow with Surman and Hammill and make it difficult for you to dominate possession but I think we did that in the first half and really should have gone in more up than we did. "They had one real meaningful attack in the second half and they scored from it when one of our players lost his man in the box. It was a disappointing but that could turn out to be a good point.
"I'm just disappointed that we didn't go on and if anything we've been lacking that killer instinct to go and win games and grind it out when you go 1-0 up."
