Dowie On Squad Trimming

Iain Dowie has been speaking about being forced to trim his squad following the spate of recent signings. "You have got to get on with things," said Dowie to the CT.
"I would have thought that it would have happened by now but I can't effect that. Now, either we throw our toys out of the pram or get on with it.
"But we have got a great bunch of lads, the staff are excellent and it is a good place to come to work.
"Everyone wants to be in early and we have just got to let the takeover happen.
"If it goes through then hopefully we can get something done before the end of August. "If the money doesn't come on stream I will maybe do one more.
"But it is not vexing me and if it doesn't, it doesn't. If it does then we are ready to press the button."
Getting the squad size down could be a problem as currently there is little to no interest in any City player other than Dele Adebola if last weekend's media reports are correct.
