Dowie Still Waiting For Ranson Meeting

Coventry City manager Iain Dowie is still waiting for a meeting with Ray Ranson. "No, I haven't had a meeting with Ray yet but that's quite understandable because he's very busy with the shares issue right now," said the City boss,still unclear as to whether he and his staff are part of the new regime to the CT.

"It's very important that he gets the club stabilised as quickly as possible - and the fact that it's Christmas obviously doesn't help - so I'm very relaxed about it; I look forward to having a conversation when he's ready."

"Ray's done very well for himself but he's still a football man so I've got no worries there. "I certainly remember him as a cultured right-back with Newcastle and Birmingham but I'm not sure if I ever up against him.

"I don't remember kicking him, at least, so that's a good thing!"
