Michael Doyle said he is happy to be staying at Coventry City.
Speaking to the club web-site,the midfielder said: "I'm happy and glad things have been sorted out and that I'm not going into the summer getting phone calls every day from my agent. "To be honest,it's been great with the Club, Paul Fletcher and Mal Brannigan had a meeting with my agent and within a week the contract was signed, which is great and you don't usually get that in football and I was happy to sign.
"I never had any intentions of leaving, I'm happy working with the manger who is great and has brought me on leaps and bounds."
"It's nice to get to the end of the season to be honest, but we've been on a good run of form since November so it's sort of sad seeing the end of it, but we need to carry that on next year. Every year we seem to get runs like that, but this year more so than ever since I've been here because we've finished eighth in the table, which is great so long may that continue and hopefully we can keep working on up the table next year.
"I don't think we should be kidding ourselves though, there is still a lot of work to be done and a lot of the games we won near the end of the season, a lot of teams were safe so there probably wasn't a lot for them to be playing for, we had a lot to play for because we wanted to finish as high up as possible as we could. I think we need to strengthen up and if we can then I think we can challenge."
