Former Coventry City manager Micky Adams thinks that Dion Dublin has what it takes to be a professional manager.
Adams who now fills his time doing what media work he can get, said to EDP Sport about the Norwich player who retires at the end of the season:
"To play as long as he has you have to have a vast knowledge of the game.
"I don't know what Dion would consider in the rest of his life, but certainly he would probably make a very good manager.
"He has probably seen a lot of managers, including myself, go through the mill a little bit - it's not nice. "But I think a lot of ex-players have said they're not going into management or coaching and have ended up regretting saying it and have ended up coming back.
"I think Dion would be possibly looked upon as more of a manager type role rather than a coaching role."
"Sometimes you have to look for what they can do as players and look at the personalities. "I think nowadays people take players on but don't understand the personalities and I felt Dion Dublin would be an asset not only for his footballing ability but also with the qualities he brings to the dressing room.
"I think that when you look at older players you are obviously worried not just about how long they are going to last in terms of the pace of the game, but are they good role models to bring into the dressing room and he was certainly a fantastic role model for the younger pros."
