Adrian Heath has again lept to the defence of City manager Peter Reid. He told reporters: "No-one likes it when supporters call for your head and our last two home performances have been poor at a time in the festive period when everyone turns up and wants to see you winning.
"But anyone who knows Peter knows he normally sees the job through. He's a very frustrated man because finances mean it's very difficult to strengthen the squad at this point in time.
"The challenge we face is to try to make the best use we can of the first-team squad but at the same time we know there are areas where we'd like to bring in players."
Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell also joined in the defence of his former manager saying: "He's got a problem on his hands because although he knows what he needs to do with the squad and the club, finances are frustrating him because there's no money at Coventry.
"It's patience which is needed, not panic, and I firmly believe if Peter was still at Leeds we wouldn't have been relegated from the Premiership at the end of last season."
