Tough tackling defender De Zeeuw was released by Wigan at the end of last season and the 37 year old defender has played for Portsmouth,Barnsley and Telstar in his native Holland. Cairo is a right sided winger,released by Hertha Berlin who has also played for Feyenoord and Excelsior Rotterdam.
Iain Dowie told the club website: "Arjen is a model professional and is a hugely experienced player while Ellery has pace to burn and will provide some much-needed width to the side. "I'm sure both players have what it takes to be very competitive at this level and they add more quality to the squad."
