Coventry City boss Chris Coleman has spoken ahead of his rescheduled meeting with chairman Ray Ranson, about how he would like to assemble his team for next season.
The postponed meeting, due to take place last week was meant to determine the size of the budget Coleman would have to continue building his team for the assault on the 2010/11 Championship campaign.
The meeting has been rearranged for later this week, but Coleman is already aware of who his targets are and he has informed Ranson of his wishes. It remains to be seen if Coleman will get what he wants or if he will be disappointed.
Whatever the outcome of the budget meeting, Coleman is keen and eager to start preparing for the transfer period. He has said, he "wants to hit the road running" come July 1st, when the summer transfer window opens.
An optimistic Coleman said to the CT: "If we can keep things together, everyone fit and add to it from day one it will make it interesting. I will see the chairman this week but he knows where we are and what we need because I have already stressed to him."
"Regardless of what was going to happen this season I have already said what type of team we think we need to compete at the other end of the league, so he knows. It is just a case of sitting down and taking it to the next step and hopefully we can do deals to take us into the start of pre season, that's quite important."
"But beggars can't be choosers as long as we get them in, but ideally we will do deals before the start of pre-season so we can hit the ground running."
"I just need to know what we have got and what we haven't, but I am hopeful. I need to know if we have to adjust the goalposts again but the sooner we get going with it the better."
