Freddie Eastwood has agreed to sign for Coventry City. The deal has not yet been completed but the Welsh international is expected to put pen to paper on a four year deal shortly after a medical and all the necessary paperwork is sorted and sent off to the Football League.
Both clubs and Eastwood's agent met at the Arena this morning to sort out a deal worth £1.2m.
City chairman Ray Ranson said to the club website: "As people will know, Freddy has been a long term target for us and we are delighted to concluded everything. He fits the bill in terms of being a quality player at the right age and will be the fourth signing we have made.
"We told our supporters that we would be strengthening the squad, and hopefully this is further evidence that we are doing just that. Season tickets have been going well and hopefully this will give supporters faith that we are set for an exciting season.
"Freddy fits the bill in terms of age and ability, and we believe he will be a very exciting addition to the squad."
Eastwood is expected to travel with the team to Switzerland on Monday.
