Coventry City striker Freddie Eastwood has said he doens't not fear the other strikers in the squad will take his place.
Eastwood scored the opening goal in the 1-1 draw with Preston at the weekend, taking his goals tally for this season to eight.
Eastwood told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, "I haven't played enough. We've had strikers come in and they've been in front of me playing. The players he (Chris Coleman) has bung in this season, I've watched them play and I don't think I've got too much threat to be honest."
Eastwood's appearance in the game against Preston was his first start for four games as he has been out with a back injury and he was very happy to be given a spot out in front as a striker instead of being asked to play wide. He has been as frustrated as the fans at having to play out of position and thinks if he had been given more chances as a pure striker he would have bagged more goals.
"My return of goals when I've been on the pitch up-top has been quite good," he said. "I need to come back much fitter and sharper next season and I think I'll be in the team. Going into the next game (at Middlesbrough) I'm going to be full of confidence after scoring. It's a week away and a week better for my injury."
