Coventry City defender William Edjenguele is hoping to keep his place in the City side.
The French defender got his first start on Tuesday night against Birmingham City and impressed the City support.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player's Keiran Crowley, The Edj, as he is nicknamed said: “I really enjoyed Tuesday and it was great to be on the pitch representing the club. To win against a big club like Birmingham in my first game was really good.
“It was an incredible feeling for me and my teammates. Football is all about challenges and that was a big one.
“My next challenge is to keep my place in the side and keep improving my game for the club. It was difficult on Tuesday as it was my first game for a while and with extra time as well.
“Hopefully, the fans will think I did well. It was a surprise to be put straight in the side but you have to be ready. When I didn’t play before, I just kept working and when my time came, I gave my best.
“I am hoping to keep my place in the side and help my teammates do well for the club.”
