Whilst football in some parts of the country is in trouble with clubs folding, there are encouraging signs that local football in Coventry & Warwickshire is bucking the trend.
Eighty clubs have confirmed their membership of the Coventry Alliance League this season with ten new clubs coming into the league.
There are also new clubs in the Midland Combination with the likes of Coventry Spires, who will play at Westwood Heath Road, coming in to join Coventry Spartans.
