According to Reports in today's Daily Mirror Coventry City boss Aidy Boothroyd is trying to sign striker Kelvin Ehutu from Manchester City.
The 22 year old Ehutu has been charged with assault and will appear before magistrates later this month following a brawl in a Manchester casino last February.
The Nigerian striker spent time on loan at Leicester and Cardiff and Manchester City are looking to offload him.
Boothroyd is thought to be keen on signing the controversial Ehutu in a deal worth around £300,000 in the near future.
Ehutu isn't the only controversial player to be linked with Coventry City during the summer. The City boss Boothroyd has been persistently linked with Marlon King who was released from Prison on licence last month after serving nine months of an 18 month sentence for sexual assault.
