It is believed they are looking for a permanent move for the Southampton born player who last season was on loan at Motherwell.
Speaking about the striker to the CT, City boss Aidy Boothroyd said: "Yes, I know Lukas who obviously did very well last season and he's a player who fits the strategy of the club to get in young and hungry players who we can develop and that's something I would have been keen to do.
"But I don't want to say names because I don't want to over promise and under deliver, so at the moment, we will work to get his name right and if we can get him in, then great.
