"For me, the FA Cup is not about money, it's about the supporters and always has been," said Mr Ranson to the CT.
"We saw how much it meant to everyone on Tuesday night and they deserve that because so many of them have stuck by this club through thick and thin.
"Naturally, expectation and excitement is beginning to rise and we welcome that but we also have to manage it.
"It is for times like this these that you want to be a football chairman. It's great to have everyone talking about the club in a positive way.
"We knew the potential for the club when we came in but we know are we nowhere completing the job -it's just the beginning."
