Coventry City defender Chris Hussey feels that the extra training he is doing with Steve Harrison is paying off.
Speaking to the CT, Hussey who put in a good shift against Leed on Tuesday night after his confidence has slipped in matches versus Blackpool and Barnsley, said: “I am really close to H who works really hard with me.
“He’s like a father figure to me. He played full-back himself so he knows the position inside out and he helps me a lot.
“He puts a lot of his own personal time into my game and I’d really like to thank him because if it wasn’t for H I wouldn’t have got this far.
“I have been doing a lot of after training sessions and hopefully things are coming together.
"I have been doing one v one and lots of defensive stuff rather than emphasis on my forward game because that is the more natural side of my game.
“But I still know I have got more to come attacking wise and I get frustrated with myself sometimes when I don’t put a good ball in because that’s one of my best qualities.
“And the crowd get a bit frustrated as well, which is understandable you know, but I will just keep cracking on and doing it and hopefully we can get a few more results and carry on with some good form for the rest of the season.”
