A number of Coventry City supporters have heaviliy criticised the club after many experienced long delays in getting into the Sky Blues Johnstones Paint Trophy Northern Area Quarter-Final against Sheffield United.
There were long queues, with waits as long as forty minutes, as supporters with tickets and those without tried to get into a Ricoh Arena stadium which only had the East Stand open for the kick off.
A good number did not make kick off and there were reports of people getting into the ground up to twenty minutes after the start of the game.
At half-time, there was also a number of complaints. Overcrowding was the problem with a number of kiosks and toilets closed, queues for both soon built up and supporters for one queue inter-mingled, making it also difficult for those try to get up and down the concourse.
In their defence, the club appeared to have been caught out by the numbers who wanted to see this game, most pre-game estimates were around the 7k mark, nowhere near the 10,132 who did attend, and did not have the appropriate numbers of stewards, kiosks and toilets open to deal with those at the game.
