David McGoldrick could make his final appearance for Coventry City in the home game against Shrewsbury Town on New Years Day.
McGoldrick, who has scored eighteen goals for the Sky Blues in league and cup matches, served a one game suspension on Saturday after picking up five cautions but could be given a final outing before he returns to parent club Nottingham Forest.
Mark Robins has no new injury worries and the City boss will have to decide whether to let McGoldrick say goodbye to the City support or continue with Stephen Elliott who scored twice in the 3-2 win against MK Dons.
Shrewsbury have doubts about former Wales international Paul Parry who missed the 0-0 draw with Brentford due to illness. Rob Purdie could continue if Parry is again ruled out.
Former Coventry City youngster Jermaine Grandison is expected to play but Luke Summerfield and striker Ryan Doble are out.
