The Adrian Heath saga took yet another twist when it was revealed that the Sky Blues were looking for compensation following the resignation of Adrian Heath a week ago.
The self confessed Stokie who was the Sky Blues caretaker manager prior to the appointment of Micky Adams, had resigned, thinking he was in the frame for the assistant manager's job at Derby County. However, the Rams CEO complained about the premature release of a statement saying Heath was going to Derby and it has emerged that City's reply was a demand for compensation.
Final Twist In Heath Saga
Heath, this morning rejoined the Sky Blues. "The reaction I received from the players and staff when I said I was leaving was overwhelming," said Heath to the club website. "I am delighted to be staying and am looking forward to the new campaign."
Micky Adams added: "A coach of Adrian's quality will always be an asset to us and we are pleased to welcome him back. "We obviously did not want him to leave in the first instance and I look forward to working with him again as we prepare for the new season."
