Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has told Adam Barton to find himself a new club.
The midfielder, who has a year left on his City contract, has been on loan at Fleetwood but has not made an appearance for the Lancashire based club who meet Burton Albion in the League Two Play-Off Final at Wembley on Monday.
Speaking about Barton to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, City manager Steven Pressley said: "Adam's future is something we need to get sorted because he is unlikely to feature a great deal next season, so he is at a little bit of a crossroads where he has to get out and play regular football.
"He is a talented player but he has got to prove that he can play. He is obviously contracted to us next season but the likelihood is that he needs to move on and find a club where he can play more regularly.
