The Sky Blues who have twice been beaten semi-finalists in the competition are expected to play the Magpies on Tuesday August 14th in a game which will be the first League Cup tie to be played at the Arena since City moved in back in August 2005.
This will also be the first League Cup tie game against Notts County who have played the Sky Blues in thirty league games and one FA Cup tie. The last league game saw City beaten 1-0 at Meadow Lane on April 11 1992 after winning the game at Highfield Road earlier that season 1-0.
Last season,City went out of the competition with a 3-1 defeat at Hereford United.
