Coventry City Chairman Tim Fisher has said that the sun should shine soon when talking to Talksport earlier today.
Mr Fisher, a director of Otium Entertainment Group and Sky Blue Sports & Leisure, is quoted as saying during the interview: : “We have got some time lines that we have to stick to but Coventry fans shouldn’t be too dismayed because we are working hard to find a resolution, and we will continue to work hard.
“We hope to have some sun on the uplands quite soon and a bit of positive news, and rest assured that the football club is doing everything it possibly can to do really crack the Enigma code at the Ricoh."
Fisher said that the club had been told by the EFL that they had to play in Coventry and said: "Yes, they are absolutely clear that we have got to play within six miles of the city centre.
“We have had it in writing umpteen times that we have to play in Coventry. "
The Ricoh is, practically speaking, the only option we have got.
“As I say, we hope to crack the Enigma code and carry on playing football there.
"We’re quietly confident that we can get a resolution.
“I don’t think it’s in anyone’s interests for this football club to be tipped over the edge.
“All we want to do is play football in Coventry and continue with the upward trajectory that we have got with the club on the pitch.
“I can tell you that the management of the football club, the people who run the club on a day to day basis, are stretching every sinew and muscle to make sure that we get a positive resolution for this football club.
“Until we have got blood coming out of our eyes, we will do absolutely everything to make sure that we play our football in Coventry.”
