Coventry City manager Mark Robins has said that five of his players are over-coming their injuries.
Loanee Jordan McGuire-Drew who had problems following an appendix operation, played the first half of City U23's win over QPR yesterday and Robins said about the loanee from Brighton: “Jordan is getting himself back he had a bad operation and it can be a tough one to get over.
“He is moving ok and fitness wise he still isn’t quite right, but he’s back in training and he played half a game yesterday.”
There is news that Tony Andreu and Jodi Jones who both suffered Cruciate Ligament injuries are on their way back.
Robins said about the duo: “Tony Andreu is flying in training and he’s chomping at the bit to get started but he’s still a little way from joining in and he will be back in pre-season.
“Jodi Jones has been on the Alter G machine so he is up to 70% of his body weight which is fantastic, great news and the swelling has all gone from his knee and he’s moving pretty well.
“He’s moving in the right direction which is fantastic and hoping he will have a trouble free rehabilitation process and will be back as soon as they possibly can.”
City also have midfielder Peter Vincenti back running on grass but Carl Baker still has a calf problem and is not able to join in with training.
