Those watching Coventry Sphinx on Non-League Day were treated to a feast when Coventry Sphinx beat Bilston Town 5-4 after extra tme in an FA Vase First Round tie.
A bigger than average crowd of 101 saw Kiam Galdins fire Luke Hopkins side into a 19th minute lead which was added to, two minutes later by Rikki Cutting.
Sean Pugh pulled one back for the West Midlands League side on 29 minutes but Sphinx went up the other end and made it 3-1 through Danny Fraser.
John Griffiths pulled another back but Sphinx led 3-2 at the break.
Sphinx looked to be going through but in second half stoppage time, Danny Mason levelled to send the tie into extra time.
Six minutes in and Nicky Turton gave Bilston the lead for the first time in the match but in the 115th minute, Stephen Barrett equalised and three minutes from time, a Rob Bates own goal meant it was Coventry Sphinx who were into Round Two.
