Coventry City, this evening, have finally confirmed that they will be extending their stay at the Alan Higgs Centre in Allard Way, Coventry.
A deal has been agreed with Coventry Sports Foundation and the Academy and U23's will continue to use the facilities which will be improved for the next five years.
Wasps had wanted the facilitiy but pulled out with finances cited as one reason.
Academy Manager Richard Stevens said to the club website: “This is excellent news for us and everyone associated with Coventry City.
“I am delighted to have agreed this deal and for the Academy to have a guaranteed home at the Alan Higgs Centre until at least 2023. I would like thank Paul for all his help and support, and also the parents, players and staff for their patience while we concluded this long-term deal.
“We can now plan for future with confidence and look forward to the Academy improving even further with the security that this five-year deal brings to us.”
