Five Names on Adams Wanted List

Five players are apparently on Micky Adams wanted list for next season. The Sky Blues boss had identified the players he wants but will have to wait until the end of the season to see what budget he has to play with.

Former keeper Chris Kirkland could be a target as the Liverpool custodian is currently third choice behind Jerzy Dudek and Scott Carson.

Carl Asaba could also be a target. Adams tried in February to sign the striker but the deal fell through following the demands of the Stoke City board. Asaba has handed in a transfer request and looks likely to leave the Potteries based club at the end of the season.

Of the current squad. Adams has said that he would like popular midfielder Stephen Hughes to stay at the club. "I am confident we can keep him. "It is just a question of whether he wants to stay," Adams said to the CET.
