John Fleck said it was about time he scored after Coventry City beat Crewe Alexandra 3-2 to go two points clear at the top of the League One table.
Fleck, who scored in the 13th minute, said to Clive Eakin. "About time I scored. Tony Mowbray spoke to me in pre-season about chipping in with more goals and tonight I paid up.
"I was just quite happy with the win. "We did not have a good pre-season but we are not forcing the ball.and are playing well.
"There was a great atmosphere tonight and hopefully, we can keep winning and encourage more people to come.
"I was very happy with my performance tonight and this is the best start since I have been here but it is still early doors and we have to keep working hard."
