Fletcher On Inchy Role

Speaking to the club website, Paul Fletcher has said why Inchy was was given the caretaker role.

The City MD said: "In Adrian Heath we have somebody who has had a few managerial posts in the past, and he has grasped this position with both hands. He has a great relationship with the existing players and a lot of people at Coventry City, and who knows, he might be a huge success.

"If we win four out of the next five games, for example, he will be in a very strong position. Adrian understands the situation and we will see how it goes."

"It's time we got stability at the Club and that will only happen when we get the right manager. I think the average tenure in this league for managers is one year one month which is quite frightening really. Micky was the third longest serving manager and that's the way of the world nowadays.

"I feel that Coventry City is a Premiership club, much like 12 or so other clubs in this division. I don't think we have a divine right to be there by any stretch of the imagination but I think this club should get to the Premiership pretty quickly.

"I don't want to mislead the fans by saying that but I will walk if I can't get this Club into the Premiership within three years. I will offer my resignation and walk because I won't have succeeded."
