Tim Flowers was happy with City's win over Notts County last night. Said the City boss to the club website: It's great for confidence and it's good that we are taking chances,. "We have seven strikers on the books and six of them have scored in the first two games so we are delighted with that. "It was almost similar to the Barnsley game in the way we rallied in the second-half but you have to win the battle to win the war.
"Notts County were never going to come here and lie down, they are a big, strong physical team and I thought it was even-steven in the first-half, but we stepped up the gas after half-time and could have scored more goals than we did.
"I didn't think Leon looked offside for the first disallowed goal and I didn't think there was much wrong with Michael Doyle's tap-in either but we still managed to get three good goals."
The City supporter was also impressed with Robbie SImpson saying: "I'm delighted for Robbie, for£40,000 from Cambridge United we have got ourselves a bargain and I think people with be reading a lot more about him in the future.. "He was only on for about fifteen minutes and I think he could have scored another goal or maybe even three just after he did score, which was a well taken strike.
"He has a few rough edges still, but he's brave, has very good ability and is a natural finisher."
