Flowers On Dutch Duo

Tim Flowers has been talking about the Dutch duo of Arjan De Zeeuw and Ellery Cairo who have been linked with a move to City. "I have spoken to Arjan who has got options but we are quite a way down the line with him," said the City Assistant Manager to the CT.

"He is an intelligent lad and will bring great leadership skills. We know he is 37 but I have seen him and he is a very fit lad and very honest player who did very well for Wigan. Everyone we have spoken to about him can't speak highly enough of him.

"Cairo is another one who we have spoken to and he is a wide player who is very quick, can beat his man and get a goal. He is a free and is an ambitious boy who wants to come to play in this country. "He was in the Dutch squad under Marco Van Basten so he has got great pedigree as well."
